A lifelong Michigan resident, Rebecca studied business administration while working in the automotive industry. Feeling unsatisfied with her career and looking for more in life, she enrolled at Irene's Myomassology Institute in Southfield, Michigan where she completed a 600 hour program and graduated in June, 2003. Her course of study included Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology and electives including but not limited to Thai massage, Shiatsu, Prenatal, Infant and Hot Stone Massage. After graduation, she tried her hand working in several fields, day spas, chiropractic offices, physical therapy, and massage clinics. This led her to open her office in Royal Oak, Michigan in October 2004, Royal Oak Massage, which provides affordable massage therapy as well as on-site chair massage.
Rebecca is nationally certified through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, belongs to Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals, is a member of the Royal Oak Chamber of Commerce as well as the Royal Oak Jaycees. She was an apprentice at Irene's Myomassology Institute from September 2004-2005. She works on a range of clients, from stay at home mothers to surgeons, theater performers to musicians and everyone in between. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, photography, yoga, spending time with her dogs, Simon and Charlie, and continuing to study massage and bodywork.
